Function and Application Areas
The AS audible and visual alarm device is a safety component used to check the function of surge protection modules and indicate module failure through audible and visual signals. SPD devices equipped with the AS audible and visual alarm feature continuously self-test, providing unparalleled safety even without manual inspection. This device is suitable for all manned application environments, such as computer rooms, banks, offices, and administrative buildings.
Once a surge protection module is damaged, the control module immediately emits an audible signal accompanied by a high-pitched, high-frequency alarm tone. The status indicator on the monitoring module changes from green to a flashing red light. When the black button is pressed, the audible alarm signal will be silenced. If the damaged module is not replaced promptly, the alarm will reactivate after 24 hours. After replacing the damaged module, the status display returns to normal.
Installation
The audible and visual module features screwless terminals for user-friendly installation, making the process highly convenient. The module is installed alongside the surge protector on a 35mm rail within the distribution panel.
